Mediating Role of Organizational Happiness in the Relationship between Transformational leadership and Organizational Participation of Primary School Teachers in Behbahan city

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the mediating role of organizational happiness in the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational participation of elementary school teachers in Behbahan city. Methods: The statistical population of the present study included all the elementary school teachers of Behbahan city in the number of 2095 people, of which 322 male and female elementary school teachers were selected as samples by multi-stage cluster sampling method. Research information and data were collected through 3 standard tools, including 1-Bass and Alio (MLQ) Transformational Leadership Questionnaire, 2- Kanongo Job Participation Questionnaire (JIQ) and 3- Oxford happiness Questionnaire (OHQ) and analyzed using PLS statistical software. Correlation and direct and indirect effects between the research variables and the fit of the overall research model were discussed. Findings: The results of the study showed that the direct relationship between transformational leadership and happiness (0.47) and teachers' organizational participation (0.27), as well as happiness and teachers' organizational participation (0.66), is positive and significant (p<0.05). Also, the main hypothesis of the research, based on the mediating role of organizational happiness in the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational participation of elementary school teachers in Behbahan city, is confirmed with a T-statistic of 6.991 and a significance level of less than 0.001, with a path coefficient of (0.32).
